Our Story
Callout is a Female-Fronted Alt Rock band from Watchung, NJ. Started in 2014, the group initially consisted of front woman Becky Khusidman and lead guitar player Jake Feldman. When Jake went off to college in 2015, he met bassist Anthony Sabino and drummer Brian Carter who have been with the band ever since. During that year, the band became active in playing shows and began writing new material. Additionally, they developed their logo and icon, Shadow; which has since been received well by fans including tattoos on their bodies, fan art, a full person size mascot costume and a stuffed animal plushy.
In 2016, the band released their first studio EP as that lineup titled, “World of the Blind.” It consisted of 5 rock-styled songs that carried them through that year. Following this, they played direct support for Hollywood Undead at Sherman Theater following the release of their EP. During this time, they also began hosting shows at venues near them being Blackburn Hall in Watchung, NJ and Allstar Music Empire in Flemington, NJ which would later be the location of their sold out full length album release show.
The band began a charitable streak in October of 2017 following the Las Vegas Shooting. Heartbroken in an issue that hit very close to home, they raised $1,250 in 24 hours with the help of the supportive fans scattered across their platforms to help do their part in providing some small relief effort for such a tragic event. That same year, the band also dropped a lyric video for their first full length album single, “Nevermore.” Additionally, they were invited to play Bethlehem’s annual Musikfest.
2018 brought in a lot of new music, more shows and another charity run for the Unbroken Foundation with a music video for their next single, “Mad Love.” This time around, the group has been doing an ongoing fundraising effort for the Unbroken Foundation run by Ashley Horner which works towards aiding victims of domestic violence. The fundraiser is an ongoing Tee Spring set of merch found at https://www.teespring.com/callout-unbroken-foundation. In the select items of merch, all proceeds have been donated thus far to this organization. The band’s first donation was $150 and will be continuing this fundraiser through the course of 2019.

Following the release of the band’s “Mad Love” music video, they dropped a full length album titled “Thief,” with guest features by Nita Strauss, Will Wood & Moriah Lambier. Dropped on December 1st, 2018, the album was followed up by a sold out release show at Allstar Music Empire on December 8th 2018. With the help of lighting production from Sleepless Mind Entertainment, support from Triple Addiction, Skiver, the Carousers, Crashing Atlas & Minderlithe, the night sold out and was truly a night to remember. The album consists of 12 songs that are a staple about the passing of time. Supporting merchandise are physical CD’s and flags with the album art.
Currently, the band is working on booking more shows and plans to be out on tour for the majority of the summer.
