“Callout has a unique sound with solid rock roots. Lyrically thought-provoking, Callout is beyond the three-chord fluff so typical from startup bands trying to mimic their favorite sound. What you get instead is a guitarist who knows his way around a fret board and a lead vocalist who delivers the song with a fierce honesty that keeps you listening.”
— Michael Droege (Watchung, NJ, owner of Blackburn Hall)
“Callout totally killed their set; They did 2 covers and even played a new song from their new EP they’re working on, Superhero. Something I love about Callout is that they believe in audience participation at shows...”
“Callout has an unmatched stage presence that makes them stand apart from the rest of the bands in their local scene. Callout is all about making their audience have the most fun possible and provides sort of an organized chaos while they’re on stage. Talent and commitment to the craft goes hand in hand when it comes to the music scene, and Callout definitely has both of these on lock.”
“Callout seeks out that kind of ability and collaboration. They value creativity and open-minded-ness, and are constantly looking to push boundaries. Building a song isn't just about one person writing some music they think is great and molding everyone else to a rigid set of bars. While Becky often spearheads the writing process, for Callout, it's about making music together. ”
